The recently concluded Mary Kerubo Foundation Heart Awareness Walk 2025 took place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Kisii, Kenya, serving as the official launch of the foundation dedicated to combating heart disease. The event successfully merged physical activity with critical community health services, featuring the Heart Awareness Walk, a large Free Medical Camp providing screenings and check-ups, educational Heart & Mental Health Talks, and a Blood Donation drive. Organized in partnership with the Kisii County Government, the initiative’s primary goal was to raise awareness about heart disease prevention and empower communities with life-saving knowledge and resources in honor of the founder’s late wife, Mary Kerubo.

The initiative also saw a collaboration with the Gentlesoulchampions Foundation, represented by Mercy Moranga and other foundation members.

The event successfully laid the groundwork for the Mary Kerubo Foundation to be a major force in the fight against heart disease in the region.
